FROM FARM CHALLENGES TO BREAKTHROUGH SOLUTIONS
AHC was founded in 2011 in the Netherlands, at a pivotal moment for European agriculture. The industry faced mounting pressure to reduce antibiotic use while maintaining animal health and productivity. Many farms were struggling — experiencing spikes in digestive issues and performance losses as they moved away from traditional approaches.
Our founders saw this challenge as an opportunity. Rather than developing products in a laboratory and hoping they would work on farms, they took the opposite approach: start on the farm, understand the real problems, and build solutions that deliver results in commercial conditions.
This farm-first philosophy led to a critical insight. Many natural compounds showed promise, but conventional delivery methods failed in practice. Oil-based ingredients wouldn't mix with water. Active compounds degraded during feed processing. Results were inconsistent and unpredictable.
The answer was clear: we needed to solve the delivery problem. This pursuit drove over a decade of dedicated research and ultimately led to our proprietary nano-encapsulation technology — a breakthrough that transforms how active compounds reach the animal.
FARM-DRIVEN INNOVATION
INNOVATION ROOTED IN PRACTICE
What began as a focus on poultry soon expanded across species. Pig farmers saw our results and asked us to develop solutions for their operations. Dairy, beef and aquaculture producers followed. Each expansion taught us how to adapt our technology to different physiological needs and production systems.
Today, we continue this pattern of farm-driven innovation. We listen to producers, observe challenges firsthand, and develop solutions that work in the real world — not just in controlled environments. Our products exist because farmers need them.

AHC is not a trading company or distributor. We develop our own formulations and manufacture all our feed additives at our facility in the Netherlands. This integrated approach ensures complete control over quality and allows us to continuously refine our technology based on field feedback.
